Jaron’s big announcement!

October 27, 2010
Hey Acting Manitou Family:
I wanted to share some exciting news with you….I’ve decided to release my first album!

Do the kids still call them albums?

Today, I launch a campaign to bring my first CD to light. Check it out: <http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/1457>. This album is going to be a combination of original blues and gospel songs written by myself and a number of my amazingly talent friends (including Acting Manitou’s favorite band Apollo Run, Lance Horne, Deborah Hurwitz and Debra Barsha), as well as some reinterpretations of classic standards. I have the fantastic Broadway rocker Jeremy Kushnier on board as Producer and Backstage Bistro Award Winning Russell Taylor slaving away as my  Director. Not to mention, Apollo Run has agreed to play on a few songs. This is going to be an amazing album, and I wanted to give you the chance to help get it off the ground.

This website allows you to pledge to support me in my pursuit to be the first Gospish (Gospel Jewish) artist in the land. Just like a PBS drive, for every pledge you make, you receive a reward. That’s right, you get prizes and gifts for every pledge you make! And, once I reach my target goal, Pledge Music will automatically donate a portion of all future pledges to Cookies for Kid’s Cancer, an organization very near and dear to my heart which fights pediatric cancer in all its forms.

The album will be released by Valentine’s Day, but I hope to have a lot more exciting updates for you guys before then. Maybe Mr. John McGrew and I could even record one of our writing sessions for the blog…
Thanks for your support, Acting Manitou!
Jaron
